Cafe2000 used to be a favorite lunch spot for a good friend and I, some years back (review here). Then we stopped working nearby. Nonetheless, I have always heard good things about their seafood buffet dinner.

Finally, 5 of us came to try their Crab-a-licious Seafood Buffet Dinner. At SGD$55++ per head, this is considerably one of the best value-for-money seafood buffet, especially compared to other seafood buffets such as The Line @ Shangri La, or Todai @ MBS.

Despite its price, the spread does not lose out to what other seafood buffet restaurants offer. Besides 4 to 5 types of crab, there were also other crustacean items for the taking. Hence, it is not hard to see why this place is crowded with eager diners even on weekday evenings.

Other than seafood, there are of course other counters serving Asian cuisine such as braised pork trotter, dim sum and sushi / counters, as well as pasta, salad and dessert stations.

I started with a stick of Chicken Satay, a slice of Roast Beef where they cut and roasted on the spot for you, braised pork trotter, and curry beef. This was heavy and deviating from the norm for me, but the food was so good - especially the succulent and moist roast beef and tender pork trotter.

Next, some fresh and saccharine Fresh Oysters, Sashimi and Cheese. The oysters were so popular the staff kept having to refill.

Prawn Salad was good too, as well as Soft Shell Crab, saccharine Spanner Crab, luscious Alaskan Crab, aromatic Salted Egg Crab etc were all lovely. Crab lovers would have a blast with this feast.

Finally, an array of Asian Desserts (kuehs) and Cakes, Panna Cotta, Chocolate Fondue and fruits concluded the scrumptious meal.

I finally understood what all the raves about their seafood buffet is all about - good variety of quality food at very reasonable price range - highly recommended!
